Overview
The iPad version can be used as a sharing station during events. However, for DSLR camera usage and photo printing, the iPad alone is not sufficient. Printing requires a computer to manage the printer and handle print jobs.
1) Requirements
iPad
iPad with the supported iPad version installed
Internet connection (recommended)
Access to sharing/gallery features
Camera
DSLR camera (Canon, Nikon, etc.)
Appropriate connection cable or adapter (USB / HDMI depending on the camera model)
For Printing
Windows or Mac computer
Printer connected to the computer via USB
V2 software installed and running on the computer
2) Connecting a DSLR Camera to iPad
Power on your DSLR camera and make sure it is ready to shoot.
Use the appropriate cable or adapter to connect the camera to the iPad.
Open the app on the iPad and check the camera input.
If live view does not appear:
Check the cable or adapter
Verify the camera’s USB connection mode
Restart the camera and try again
Note: Camera compatibility and connection methods may vary by model. If you experience issues, please contact support and provide your camera brand and model.
We will soon be making a 3D stand model available on our website that allows you to mount both your tablet and DSLR camera.
With this 3D model, you will be able to apply custom branding while also benefiting from improved ease of use.
3) How Printing Works with iPad
To print photos from an iPad, a computer is required. The printer is connected to the computer, not directly to the iPad.
The iPad sends print commands, while the actual printing is handled by the computer.
Step-by-Step Printing Setup
Open the V2 software on your computer and enter any event.
Connect the printer to the computer and:
Make sure printer drivers are installed
Perform a test print from within the software
On the iPad, open the Printer Settings page.
Tap Select Printer.
The printer connected to your computer will appear in the list.
Select the printer. You can now send unlimited print jobs from the iPad.
Important Notes
The iPad and computer do not need to be in the same event.
They do not need to be on the same network.
They can even be in different locations or different countries.
4) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Can the iPad print on its own?
No. The iPad can send print commands, but a computer is required to manage the printer.
The printer does not appear on the iPad. What should I do?
First, confirm the printer works by printing from the computer
Make sure the printer is properly connected and drivers are installed
Reopen the Printer Settings page on the iPad and try again
Why can’t I see original photos on the iPad?
This is expected behavior. In V2, original (raw) photos are not stored by default. Original photo access is currently available in V1. (Support for this feature may be added to V2 in future updates.)
