Using Photo Mosaic Wall: Digital Wall

Updated this week

Event Management

To use the Mosaic Wall software, you will need two screens:

  • Screen 1: The moderation screen where you manage and upload participant images

  • Screen 2: The Mosaic Wall display screen

Event Management is the page where you can view your existing events and create new ones.

Enter an event name in the Event Name field under the Main Settings section.

The Event Motto field is optional β€” you may leave it blank.

Click Create to generate your first event.

Main Settings

After creating your event, click Main Settings on the left panel.

Folder to Sync Media

Click Browse and select the folder where the participant photos will be saved.

Then ensure that the Digital Wall checkbox is selected. If it is not selected, click once to enable it.

Final Image

The Final Image is the completed mosaic artwork you want to reveal.

This image will appear blurry at first on your Mosaic Wall. As photos are added, the image becomes clearer and is fully revealed when the mosaic is complete.

To upload your final image:

  1. Click the placeholder image once

  2. Select your image

  3. Click Load

Row and Column

This controls how each participant photo will be scaled.

For example, entering 10 Γ— 10 creates perfectly square mosaic tiles.

Animation Duration

Determines how long the final image stays on the screen when revealed.

Transparency for Initial Background

Controls the opacity of the Initial Background image before the final image begins appearing.

Canvas Scale

This defines the size of the projection area for the Mosaic Wall.

The values entered here, together with the Row and Column settings, determine the square grid layout of the mosaic.

Resolution Image

Shows the resolution at which participant photos will appear in the mosaic.

Example:

  • Original photo: 1080p

  • Mosaic tile resolution: 480p

Since the images are displayed in small squares, 480p is sufficient and recommended.

Higher values require a more powerful PC and may reduce performance.

Transparency for Final Image

Controls the opacity of the final completed mosaic image.

Initial Background

If you want to show an Initial Background image before the mosaic begins forming, upload it here and enable the checkbox.

Auto Allow Photo

If enabled, images inside the selected folder will load onto the Mosaic Wall automatically.

You can also toggle this option later in the Start the App section.

Enable First Load / Enable Last Load

If you want a specific area of the mosaic to load first or last, enable these checkboxes.

Then enter the horizontal and vertical coordinate ranges.

The selected area will fill either first or last depending on the setting.

Language Section

This section allows you to customize certain on-screen text labels.

Start the App

After clicking Start the App, you will see all images inside the folder you selected.

Your Mosaic Wall will appear on the second screen.

Moderation Controls

  • Press Unblock to send a participant photo to the Mosaic Wall

  • Press Block to reject a photo

You can view:

  • Approved images

  • Blocked images

by switching between the tabs in the upper-left corner.

Moderation Info

Shows:

  • Total number of frames in your Mosaic Wall

  • How many frames have been filled with photos

Auto Complete

If you are missing photos and no additional photos will be taken, press Auto Complete.

The system will generate placeholder images to fill the remaining frames.

Completion & Rendering

Once all photos are added, your Mosaic Wall will be completed.

After completion, the software automatically renders the final mosaic in 16K resolution.

This ensures that even very large mosaic walls display human faces clearly and sharply.
